Missions both near and far are an important part of who we are at East Hills.

Matthew 28:19, 20 - Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Local Area Missions

On the third Friday of the month starting at 5:30 PM, a team goes to prepare and serve a meal at City Team Ministries in downtown Oakland sharing smiles and feeding our local homeless and those in need. Through the Living with Purpose ministry you can experience ministering in the community at various evangelistic outreach events, such as having a table where people can pray and be prayed for by Lake Merritt, surveying our community about their Spiritual Journey, offering refreshments as a community service, allowing a time for positive recreation by playing volleyball down by the lake. There is also a discussion group every first and third Thursday of the month - DISCOVERY: A Spiritual Discussion Group. Call the church office for more details.

External Missions

East Hills has a rich history with supporting missionaries and their ministries within and outside the United States. Many of whom have come directly from our own congregation, we encourage and desire to be a part of what the Lord is doing around the world to build His Kingdom. We support missionaries in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America as well as in the U.S.
